I’ve had this photo since the evening of September 5. 😳 I’m sorry, Grace!
And I’ve had it ready to post since September 9. 🙁
I’ve had it on my To Do list…and it just didn’t get To Done.
So here it is:

The grand occasion is Nate’s 80th birthday with the H.E. Widmer family at the Community Hall there at Capital Manor. (“We are missing more than again as many,” wrote Grace in her email to me!)
Grace, tell us more about this photo in a comment below and I’ll update this post with that information and change the title to something more fitting. (Suggest a title, too, if you like.)
Apologetically,
Mark

Wow! I see that it’s been three years since I posted photos from the annual Evers Reunion at the city park in Sheridan, Oregon. 🙁
It seems that the “theme” this year must have been aprons. 😆
Without further ado, six photos. Remember you can click them to see a larger version.
Historic and/or hysterical aprons

Ben and Viola
Ada, Ray, and Ruby
I could tell you who they are…
I’m sorry I don’t have more variety. I should have thought to wander around and make sure I shot all of you that were there. 😯
OK, one more. This last one I wasn’t going to include, then I spied the mischief… 😀
Andy, you’ve gotta watch out for those mischievous matriarchs!
That’s it. But if you have any photos from the reunion you’d like to have posted here, please contact me!

In a comment on the first post related to the 2009 Evers Reunion, Grace Stutzman mentioned some singers. So it seemed a good idea to make that the subject of the second reunion-related post. (In addition to photos, I plan future posts to include the three poems Celestia Nelson read as well as her recipe for That Corn Dish Which Is Much Commended at various Evers gatherings.)
Before the singers Grace mentioned, we all sang to her in honor of her upcoming 80th birthday. As I recall, it’s sometime this week. (I hope it’s OK to say all that, Grace! If it isn’t, let me know and I’ll doctor this post.) So, here’s the birthday lady, listening as the closing notes waft away into fond memories (or something like that): Oh wait!
