Why this site?
Because the ties that bind are becoming increasingly few.
And those few are becoming increasingly frayed.
That’s a problem in American society as whole.
But it’s also a problem in our family.
I had thoughts along those lines during and after our Evers 2008 reunion in Sheridan this summer.
Those thoughts led me to this small effort to strengthen the ties that remain.
And to establish new ties.
Before death or estrangement deprive us of the ties that presently bless us.
But for this to succeed, we need you to do your part.
Good morning, extended Evers family.
Eventually I want to turn this into a site for registered family members to post news, history, stories, photos, and links.
For now, it will look like a blog.
If you are a member of some branch of the Evers clan (such as I am by marriage to Ruby, youngest daughter of Clyde and Lena Yoder), please register as a user.
Thanks!
